About this event

Join us for Pride 2021 as we welcome Katherine Wolfgramme via Zoom to share her story.

Throughout her career in advocacy, Katherine has received accolades including Australian LGBTI Awards 2019 Inspirational Role Model of the Year, and was a finalist in the 2019 ACON Community Honour Awards – Community Hero. Her achievements are many and vast, and including changing Fijian law in 1997 when she became the first transgender woman to legally obtain a female name; and leading the charge to prevent a transphobic slur being used in businesses across Australia. Katherine is a Gender Diversity Consultant and was formerly the official Ambassador of The Gender Centre, former Board Associate of Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, former Public Officer of Wear It Purple and Producer of Sydney Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Currently, she is focussing on what is most important to her - supporting transgender children and their parents, and binary transgender people.
